Setup Samsung Knox

In brief

The documentation states that an Intune tenant supports only one connected Samsung Knox E-FOTA account. It also explains that the connected account and region must match where devices are registered; otherwise, device registration can fail even when the connector shows Connected.

What Intune admins need to know

Verify that the connected Samsung Knox E-FOTA account and region match your device registrations, and plan for one account per tenant.

You must configure Managed Google Play for your tenant. For setup instructions, see Set up Managed Google Play.

Each Intune tenant supports only one connected Samsung Knox E-FOTA account. You can't connect multiple Samsung Knox E-FOTA accounts to the same tenant, including separate accounts for different regions.

Cloud requirements

In the Microsoft Intune admin center, link Intune and Samsung Knox E-FOTA by creating a connector. The connector allows Intune to communicate with Samsung Knox E-FOTA and manage firmware updates for eligible Samsung devices.

Important

Connect the Samsung Knox E-FOTA account and region where your devices are registered. A device's Knox E-FOTA client might enroll in a different account or region from the one connected to Intune. In that case, device registration in Intune can fail even when the connector status is Connected.

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
  2. Select Tenant administration > Connectors and tokens > Firmware over-the-air update.
  3. Select Samsung.
